BME’s Corporate Debt market, AIAF, is one of the most developed and transparent markets in the world and now includes this electronic platform for fixed income trading aimed at retail investors, in anticipation of future regulations and requirements for fixed income assets in general and corporate debt in particular.
The benefits offered by SEND for the corporate debt market are starting to become evident. It has succeeded in narrowing bid/offer spreads, thereby making its prices a public and accessible reference for the market and private investors.
With this objective reference for fixed income asset prices, investors have access to more information, disclosed directly through various channels.
Corporate debt assets which can be traded on SEND include preferred shares, plain vanilla bonds and debentures, subordinated bonds, tax credit bonds, covered bonds (cédulas) and debentures with a maturity of over six months, with a face value of EUR 1,500 or less, and which are aimed at the retail investor.
